Description
Hydraulic Piston Pump
Where a gear pump runs out of pressure, a piston pump takes over. JIC specifies piston pumps on the heavier front end loaders and on circuits that have to hold high pressure continuously, such as lifting platforms and jetting equipment.
- Offered as an alternative to the gear pump on commercial, self levelling and industrial front end loaders
- Suited to circuits running a 90 litre oil tank and double spool control valve
- Higher working pressure and better efficiency under sustained load
- Pressure tested before dispatch
Choosing between gear and piston
For most tractor attachments a gear pump is enough. For heavy industrial duty cycles, or where the machine works all day at pressure, the piston pump lasts longer. JIC will advise based on the machine you are running.
